Aerial Reconnaissance with HD & IR cameras
Drones used for aerial reconnaissance allow to receive high resolution images of places that are impossible to view from the ground without risks for the involved people.
The surveillance module enables video transmission from various camera systems (EO and IR with up to 30x optical zoom) and optimal control of the drone and cameras. Mission scenarios such as circular flight around a point of interest (POI), with automatic camera aiming at the point itself, are also part of the surveillance module. Integrated into the same module is the use of military mesh networks and 4G/5G communications.
A special feature is the control of the drone via a POI, selected on the video image, which can be a point or a moving object. The drone follows the image of the object and the video data are delivered to the user with minimal latency. Planned missions can be changed at any time and adapted to the situation.

Benefits of HD Aerial Filming
The same images could be taken from helicopters or airplanes but obviously with higher costs. The small size of the drone and its easy manoeuvrability allow to capture images that no aerial device would be able to do, and obviously with a lower risk.
The aerial reconnaissancewith drone, made with cameras operating in the visible spectrum, are perfect during the day and in favourable weather conditions. For the rest, IR cameras can be used, combined into one sensor.

High Resolution IR Cameras
IR cameras use the temperature of an object to produce an image. Temperature is measured by detecting and capturing different levels of infrared light.
All objects emit some type of infrared radiation, and it's one of the ways heat is transferred.
Thanks to their ability to detect the differences in the heat emitted by the various sources, it is possible to create images with a high contrast.
